    Yes. We had a date in the Lincoln Theatre -I imagine you've heard of the Lincoln Theatre in Harlem? Duke Ellington had just come into New York with his combo, the Washingtonians they were. They were playing the Lincoln with us because Seymour and Jeanette were the top black act. So he played on stage with the band and they had me in the pit playing with the band. Still couldn't read.
