I drove into Newport with Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Andrews in the afternoon, to find Sophy Buffum, my old friend. She and her family have just left for Europe. A Miss Busk came to lunch, tall, athletic Gibson girl, very simple. We played Bridge in the evening. I have almost lost the feeling of being in America.
