    I called on Helen Hopekirk (Wilson) in the morning, but saw too much of her husband. Mrs. Gardner took us to the Art Museum in the afternoon, rushing us through, and ending up by getting the Curator, Chalfin, to show us a scroll with the sack of a town on it, from about 1250.
