Richard Habersham-Bey:No, we had an election to get on the board. We have five members, from each of the five areas of Bed-Stuy. My budget at the time was $15M a year. Our biggest purpose was economic development; that was the first time blacks really had money to do things in their community. From Shirley Chisholm to Charles Rangel they were all involved.
