Jimmy Morton: I can tell you what our objective is: we’re trying to get jazz as part of the curriculum in the school. In fact we went to Bilal Abdurahman’s widow’s house in an attempt to get her to let us use his book. Bilal [Abdurahman]’s book needed editing as far as correct presentation is concerned, but the information in it is invaluable. His widow seemed to think we were trying to do so...
