Yes, he was, but he was a strange man. He would not gamble. He worked every day; he would not gamble with that money. He'd take the money home and give it to my mother for her bills and what-not and he'd go up the street and have a friend throw him in the game. That's what they called it - that is, give him a stake in the game. He was a terrific gambler.
