I think an invaluable experience, just great to be on the road. Even at that early age we appreciated that. We liked the idea of being involved in that kind of music and swing music and playing, and the discipline of playing in a band was unequaled. Also you experience life in different ways and you get to meet different people and some of those bands like Johnny "Scat" Davis or Gene Krupa, ...
