    Well I was with Count Basie's first band in 1932 or 33, which was short-lived, and actually he was working with Benny Moten at that time. But Benny Moten was having a lot of problems with getting work. So Count Basie got a job in I think it was Little Rock, Arkansas. And he came to Little Rock and I was there, and I worked with him there in that band.
