Yeah. I'd go every day to the musicians' union and hang out down there [?]. Plus you could pick up a gig here and there. Somebody would come in and say, "I need a bass player tomorrow night" for something. You'd go and make the gig, get to know everybody, and know the people that are working, who they were and all that.
