It was a good surprise. But when I think of Darius Brubeck's birth, there's a lot that goes into that. Staying up all night with my closest friend, Bob Skinner, the pianist in San Francisco, and I taking Iola to the Children's Hospital and nothing too much happening. For some reason we were dismissed, and you went to the birthing room, I think.
