Yeah well, that happened, that's right. I was working with Spike Jones's wife, Helen Grayco. And Spike Jones's piano player Arnold Ross became ill, so Spike Jones asked Helen Grayco could he borrow me for a while. So I went on the road with the Spike Jones band. And that was a trip. I said this crazy music, this ought to be fun to play. I think the first tune was "Port and Peasant" for real. ...
