Well I'd like to read that about Marshall Royal. Ironically I played at Marshall Royal's funeral. I did, I played "Tenderly" for Marshall Royal. He and Evelyn used to come over when I was a kid and they loved my mother's gingerbread. And they used to come over often for dinner. And every time he'd see me he'd say "Mattie could sure make good gingerbread. "
