    And she taught Bessie Smith. She was Bessie Smith's teacher. And in Chicago she used Albert Winn's Creole Jazz Band and I was in the band. So that's how I recorded with her. She was very nice, a very, very, very nice woman. And we played all of her songs, and that was it. That was about `26. And in the 30's, someone gave me an album of it.
