Good afternoon, here we are. This is an interview for the Afro-American music collection. My name is Darryl Duncan and I'm interviewing Mr. Sam Rivers. Today is March 26, 1988. Mr. Sam Rivers, you have been a saxophonist of note and it's really a pleasure for me to be here talking with you.
