No, I didn't have no mic. I was with a hell of a rhythm section, and they accept the rhythm section as it was. I wasn't overshadowed. When you get them four instruments together--the piano, the guitar, the banjo [sic: bass], and the drum, a tuned- up drum, like Walter Johnson--[expletive deleted], you couldn't beat that. It was a thump, like a heartbeat.
