Well, sometimes I did Tadd Dameron when he'd get stuck in his arrangement like me or any other arranger. He'd come up and I'd say, "Get out of it this way. " I'd play it on the piano or if he didn't like that I'd play a record. I get my inspiration from modern classical things. I get in a mood, you know, to write. I always have used that as inspiration for writing.
