I'm not sure if I can phrase this question but I'll try. If I was to take a solo of yours and transcribe it, and then match what you're playing against the chord structure and try to justify everything you're playing by saying "notice how David took the tritone substitution," and all that, would that be legitimate or are some of the things you do happy accidents?
