    . . . interns were invited to the White House. They would not know why they were coming, except it was Kennedy's afternoon to entertain them. Word got out that I was going to be the entertainment. The lawn at the White House was flooded, and they could not keep that date there, so they moved us to the Washington monument. I don't remember whether Jack Kennedy came or not.
