Scientists and engineers have recently found that art provides an interesting subject matter in the study of the human use of the computer. Traditional as well as new music has received considerable attention. Drawings by Mondrian have been simulated on the computer and studies have been made of ways to analyze paintings. The computer as a possible tool for the artist has been discussed.
